Divisibility Rules

Divisible: can be divided without a remainder.

The Divisibility Rules can help you figure out
factors of numbers.
Example if you need to know whether the number 2
is a factor of 28 you can use the Divisibility Rules
of 2.

A number is divisible by:

2, if the ones digit (The last digit) is an even number.
3, if The sum of the digits is divisible by 3
4, if The last 2 digits are divisible by 4
5, The last digit is 0 or 5
7,  There is no rule for seven.
6, The number is divisible by both 2 and 3
8, if The last three digits are divisible by 8
9, if The sum of the digits is divisible by 9
10, The number ends in 0 (if the ones digit is 0 )
