Associative property of multiplication
The way in which three numbers are grouped
when they are multiplied doesn't change the
product.
Example 2 (4 x 5) = 4 (5 x 2)
The way in which 3 numbers are grouped when they are added
doesn't change the sum
example ( 1 + 2 ) + 4 = 2 + ( 1 + 4 )
