Least Common Multiple (LCM)
The smallest nonzero whole number that is a multiple of
two or more whole numbers .
Example:
What is the lest common multiple of 3,4 and 6
1. list the multiples for each number
3 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24,27,30,33,36.....
4 4,8,12,16,20,24,28,32,36,40,44,48.....
6 6,12,18,24,30,36,42,48,54,60,66,72.....
2. List the smallest multiple of each number 12, 24, 36.....
3. 12 is smallest of the three number, so the LCM = 12
