Rounding Decimals Numbers to the Nearest Tenth

To round number to nearest tenth, Look at the decimal to the
immediate right of the tenth place. If it is 5 or above, round up. If it is
4 or below, round down.

Example: Round 2.68 to nearest tenth.
The 6 is in the tenth place.

Look at the digit to the immediate right of the tenth place.

8 is greater than 5, so round up. Add 1 to the digit you are rounding
to.

2.68 + 1 = 278

Replace all digits to right of the one you are rounding to with
zeros.

2.68 rounded to the nearest tenth is 2.70
