Finding  the Mode of a set of Numbers

The mode (also called Statistical Mode) is the number that
shows up the most in a group of numbers.

If no number is repeated, then there is no mode for the list.

example

mode of a set of numbers

In the picture above 5 is the mode because 5 is the number
you see the most.

You can have more than one mode in set of numbers.
Example: {1, 2, 2, 2, 4, 4, 7, 7, 7, 9}

There are two modes in this group of numbers. 2 and 7
Two modes is called "bimodal".
More than two modes is called "multimodal".

Find the mode of the data set.
Remember: data, refers to a group of numbers.

3,  10,  10,  9,  9,  14,  14,  14, 3

The easiest way To find the mode  is to arrange the numbers order from
least to greatest.

example: 3, 3,  9, 9, 10,  10,  14, 14, 14,
Select the number that shows up the most.

14 is the number you see the most, so 14 is the mode.
