Properties of one and zero

Property of zero: Adding zero to a number does not
change that number. This is also called Zero
property or identity property of addition.

Properties of one:

You can multiply any number by one and the product
( the answer ) will be that number. Example, 1 multiply
by 16 equal 16. As you can see 16 did not change by
multiplying it by 1.

This is known as the one property of multiplication or the identity
property of multiplication.

Zero property of multiplication

Any number multiplied by zero will be zero. Example, 6 x 0 = 0
and 0 x 17 = 0
