Decimals Place Value - Tenths, Hundredths and
Thousandths.

Example: The number 0.256

The first digit after (to the right) the decimal
point  is called the tenths place value. There are
two tenths in the number 0.256

The second digit tells you how many hundredths
there are in the number.  The number 0.256 has
five hundredths.

The thirds digit tells you how many thousandths
there are in the number. The number 0.256 has
six thousandths.
